Some weddings are quietly unforgettable. Not because of grand gestures, but because they are filled with genuine emotion, thoughtful details, and a whole lot of heart. Maddie and Oliver’s wedding in Cheshire was all of that and more.
A Personal Connection - From Chester University to the Wedding Day
Maddie and I go way back, we studied photography together at Chester University, and being part of her wedding day felt like a full-circle moment. Watching someone you’ve shared classrooms, projects, and dreams with marry the love of their life is something truly special.
It made capturing their day all the more meaningful, knowing just how much thought and care Maddie put into every detail.
A Cheshire Church Ceremony Full of Love
Maddie and Oliver chose to have their ceremony at their local church, just on the outskirts of Cheshire. It was the perfect setting — timeless, peaceful, and deeply personal. After saying their vows, they stepped into the sunshine as husband and wife, greeted by a joyful cascade of confetti and warm hugs from family and friends.
Guests were treated to homemade cake in the churchyard, with the August sun casting a golden glow over the whole scene. It felt relaxed and intimate — exactly what a wedding should be.
A Laid-Back Reception with Pizza, Ice Cream, and Joyful Moments
Their reception was the dreamiest kind of gathering. Laid-back, joyful, and full of personality, with handmade pizzas fresh from the oven, and an ice cream van that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Guests mingled on the lawn, children played barefoot in the grass, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and the kind of easy happiness you only get when you're surrounded by your favourite people.
Creative Wedding Details — Stationery by the Bride
One of the most beautiful things about this Cheshire wedding was just how personal it felt. Maddie designed and made all of their wedding stationery herself — a nod to her creative talent and thoughtful nature. Each piece was simple, elegant, and perfectly matched the tone of the day.
From start to finish, everything reflected who they are as a couple: creative, relaxed, and deeply connected.
