My first Low Hall wedding of the 2025 season, and what an unforgettable way to begin. George and Arianne’s day was one of those weddings that stays with you, not just because of the sunshine (although we had that in abundance), or the beautiful styling, or even the incredible Indian street food, but because of the story behind it all. As a North West wedding photographer working across Cheshire and the Lakes, I’m lucky to witness a lot of love stories, but theirs was something really special.
George and Arianne met when they were just 16. Teenage sweethearts who grew up not only alongside each other but also surrounded by the same close-knit circle of friends, the very same people who stood by their sides on their wedding day. It’s rare to see a couple with that much history together, and rarer still to witness the kind of effortless connection they share. Their love is rooted in years of friendship, change, growth, and it made every moment of the day feel that little bit more meaningful.
Tucked away in the Lake District, Low Hall is a gem of a venue. The character of the place - relaxed, stylish, full of charm, perfectly mirrored the vibe of George and Arianne’s day. The sunshine poured over the gardens, the barn felt warm and intimate, and the whole place seemed to hold the joy of everyone who gathered there.
One of the most touching parts of the day was the ceremony. Thoughtfully written and deeply personal, it felt like it was crafted just for them, because it was. There were tears, there was laughter, and every single guest was right there in the moment with them. It’s always a privilege to photograph ceremonies that feel so uniquely true to the couple.
Picture Indian street food served under the sun, guests lounging on the grass, plates filled with flavour, and drinks flowing. The styling was soft and elegant, full of subtle, romantic details that felt both elevated and effortless.
But more than anything, this day was happy. From the first look to the last dance, there was a feeling of joy that never let up. It was in the hugs, the speeches, the quiet in-between moments and the loud ones too. George and Arianne radiated love and excitement, and that energy swept through everyone there.
Being a Cheshire and Lake District wedding photographer means I get to work in some of the most stunning venues in the country, but more than that, I get to tell stories like George and Arianne’s. Stories of two people growing up together, building a life full of meaning, and celebrating it surrounded by their favourite people.
