North West Wedding Photography

Some weddings feel like home from the very first frame, and Edwin & Esther’s day was exactly that.

From the quiet hum of anticipation as Esther got ready in her childhood home, to the hand-tied florals and homemade signs dotting the garden marquee, every detail was deeply personal. As a Cheshire wedding photographer, I’m often invited into these moments of intimacy and joy, and this one felt especially beautiful.

A Morning Filled With Memory

Esther began her morning surrounded by soft light and old family photographs. Her childhood home was alive with laughter, cups of tea passed between hands, and a gentle sense of calm. It's always a privilege to document these quiet beginnings, the way a mother’s hands fasten a dress, or the way friends share one last joke before the ceremony begins.

A Countryside Ceremony Full of Heart

The short drive to the church led us through winding country lanes, framed by hedgerows and wildflowers. Rain gently tapped the windows, but spirits were undeterred. Inside, the ceremony was filled with love, heartfelt vows, and the comforting embrace of community.

By some small miracle, the rain cleared just in time for the confetti line. Guests spilled out with cheers and hugs, the kind that crinkle eyes and leave lipstick marks on cheeks. These are the fleeting, joyful moments I love to freeze in time.

Portraits Among the Fields

After the ceremony, Edwin and Esther wandered down the lane together, just the two of them. We captured portraits in the fields behind the church, where the grass was tall and the light soft. No poses, no pressure, just two people, newly married, taking a quiet moment for themselves.

A Marquee Reception That Felt Like Home

The reception was held at Edwin’s family home, where a beautiful marquee had been set up in the garden. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: handmade signs guiding guests, drinks tables styled with care, and florals that tied everything together seamlessly. It was a celebration that felt joyful yet deeply grounded, where guests toasted late into the evening under strings of warm light.

If you’re planning your own wedding and dreaming of a celebration that feels like you - intimate, personal, and full of heart - I’d love to capture it. Whether you’re tying the knot in a garden at home or tucked away in the countryside, I’m here to tell your story with honesty and soul.
